Piers Lawrence is a jazz guitarist and composer born in New York City, raised in San Francisco and Switzerland, where he attended the Conservatoire de Musique de Lausanne.
He is an alum of the Harlem-based, Jazz-Mobile Orchestra and studied with jazz greats Barry Galbraith and Ted Dunbar. Piers has played Broadway shows including 'Guys and Dolls', 'Dancin', 'Hubie', and 'Your Arms Too Short to Box With God', he has toured and recorded with Wilson Picket, The Main Ingredient, Esther Phillips, Phyllis Hyman, The Caribbean All-Stars and Merl Saunders.
Based in Manhattan, he is the guitarist for the Piers Lawrence Quartet and his record label, JazzNet Media, produces independent projects and Ambient music for film and television.
