Piers Lawrence is a guitarist and composer born in New York City, raised in Palo Alto and Switzerland, he attended the Conservatoire de Musique de Lausanne. Currently based in San Diego he has established himself as a Solo Guitarist, Band Leader and Session Musician.

An alum of the Harlem-based, Jazz-Mobile Orchestra he studied with jazz greats Barry Galbraith and Ted Dunbar. Piers has also played Broadway shows including 'Guys and Dolls', 'Dancin', 'Hubie', and 'Your Arms Too Short to Box With God',  he has toured extensively as well as recorded with Wilson Picket, The Main Ingredient, Esther Phillips, Phyllis Hyman, The Caribbean All-Stars and Merl Saunders and the Rainforest Band. 


Currently living in downtown San Diego, CA, he is the guitarist for the Piers Lawrence Quartet and his record label, JazzNet Media, produces independent projects and Ambient Music for film and television.
